DOWNHILL SKIING AND CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The natural position and the climate make Alto Sangro one of the places where the ski season lasts the longest and where fun is guaranteed thanks to the vast typology of routes available. From December to April you will find km of snow-covered slopes perfectly connected by modern ski lifts.

ALPINE SKIING
It is the most popular winter sport: it has been practiced in Alto Sangro for more than 100 years and the area represents the largest ski area in central-southern Italy in the heart of the Abruzzo Apennines. The descent takes place along slopes of varying difficulty, defined as blue, red or black, based on the difficulty, respectively easy, medium or difficult.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
It is a specialty of Nordic skiing, that is, disciplines in which you ski with the heel of the boot not attached. It is practiced in flat areas and with less steep declines than downhill skiing. Our rentals also offer you complete, adequate service and make your cross-country skiing holiday unique.

FREERIDE & SNOWKITE
Snowkite is a discipline that involves the use of traction kites to move freely on the snow on skis or snowboard. It cannot be practiced on traditional ski slopes and requires open and snow-covered spaces.

SNOW EXCURSIONS WITH SNOWSHOES AND WINTER NORDIC WALKING
Snowshoeing is snow excursions done using snowshoes (or snowshoes – it supports movements in the snow, allowing for an easy and healthy walk) allowing you to reach even the most pristine places in total safety. Snowshoe excursions are of different difficulties but suitable for everyone: from trips on beaten paths for first experiences, to longer and more challenging ones.

Kinderheim is a supervised snow playground for children aged 3 to 12.
A snow kindergarten that allows parents to ski peacefully leaving their children under the care of the park staff. The staff is made up of young girls who will entertain the children with snowmen, sitts, swings, donuts, workshops and much more

Panoramic Tour
The ski lifts allow you to reach the highest peaks of the area and give you breathtaking views. Suitable for adults and children. Possibility of lunch at altitude. With our self-guided and group treks you can discover the Alto Sangro mountains at a slow pace, walking in complete autonomy, alone, as a couple or with friends but with all the organization and assistance of our guides before and during the trek.

MOUNTAINCART
The mountain carts, which can be rented at the Monte Pratello station, are real mountain go-carts without an engine, absolutely ecological, safe and at the same time, thanks to their low center of gravity, wide wheelbase and excellent brakes easy to drive.
The route extends for 7km with 800 meters of altitude difference and lasts about an hour.

To reach the car parks Aremogna, Gravare, Pizzalto and Lake Avoli

To reach the Aremogna, Gravare, Pizzalto and Lago d’Avoli car parks
take via Aremogna from Roccaraso or take the SS17 up to km 136 (between the La Portella tunnel and the crossroads for Rivisondoli), then turn onto the Strada Comunale Barreana and continue for 4/6 km.

For Monte Pratello
reach the Cinquemiglia Plateau on the SS17 between Rocca Pia and Roccaraso; at km 135, near the La Portella tunnel, turn onto the SP114 towards Piazzale Monte Pratello.

To reach Valle Fura
from the SS17 take the crossroads for Pescostanzo. From the town follow via Monte Rotella until you reach the Piazzale degli Sciatori car park.

To reach Monte Vitelle
take Via Colli d’Oro from Pescasseroli and continue on Viale Fausto Grassi.
