Giulianova (Te) – Belvedere and panoramic terrace

Panoramic terrace overlooking the beautiful sea for a beautiful panoramic photo is definitely a place not to be missed.

The scenic square with the buildings that overlook it and its terrace overlooking the sea is the manifesto of the economic, civil and cultural fervor that hit the city between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Dominating the space is the bronze monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, the work of Raffaello Pagliaccetti, created in Florence in 1889.

The square hosts two locations of the Civic Museum Complex: the Civic Sculpture Hall with some works that tell the artistic life of Raffaello Pagliaccetti and the Chapel of San Gaetano which the sculptor designed for the De Bartolomei family, inside which there are some marble monuments by the sculptor from Giulia, one of the most successful exponents of the Florentine and Italian nineteenth century.

From Piazza Belvedere you can move towards Via Gramsci, with its nineteenth-twentieth century buildings. Among the buildings, the Villa of the Barons Ciafardoni from 1885 stands out with its large garden.

Afterwards it is possible to walk in the large park of Casa Maria Immacolata, formerly a Franciscan convent, now a diocesan summer residence. Inside the park you come across the underground rooms of a Roman cistern.
