A unique collection of over 40 historic farm carts and wagons from various regions of Italy. An important historical testimony to local rural culture and a tribute to the work and ingenuity of farmers of the past.

The Vintage Cart Museum is dedicated to rural culture and houses a collection of approximately 40-50 vintage farm carts and wagons, restored thanks to the efforts of Mr. Concezio Cacio, who dedicated much of his life to preserving and showcasing these traditional means of transport.

The Museum exhibits Carriages from Abruzzo and other regions of Italy, with examples of various types and intended uses.

Carts pulled by horses, oxen, or donkeys that represent the history of agricultural and artisanal transportation, with many technical features and original decorations.

The collection includes semi-finished and original objects made from the early 1900s to the 1950s, cataloged by region, type, and technical characteristics.

In addition to the carts, the Museum includes a fully equipped workshop (with tools partly built by Concezio himself) to restore missing parts, with the aim of preserving the artisanal ingenuity of times past.
There is also a reconstruction of the “facocco” (artisan wagon maker) workshop, with curious original features, such as a candle mounted on a mechanism that raised it to maintain a constant light at dusk.

The Museum is located in Paganica (7 km from L’Aquila), on the S.S. 17bis no. 39, near the “Parco delle Rose” Restaurant-Hotel, on the road to Tempèra.
The tour, by reservation, is free, but a donation to support heritage conservation is appreciated.
During the tour, Mr. Concezio Cacio will explain the history and technical details of the floats, offering a rich cultural and historical experience.
