Fun donkey race: unpredictable, they don’t start at the starting whistle, they stop suddenly, they run in the opposite direction to that of the race, creating a loved and unrepeatable spectacle.

The “Palio del Ciuccio” is a traditional event that recalls the traditions of peasant life in Cilento at the beginning of the 20th century

With this festival dedicated to this docile and humble, but sometimes also stubborn, animal, the town celebrates the cornerstone of the rural economy of the past, whose industriousness marked the peasant life of Cilento at the beginning of the last century.

In particular, it was often used for the transport of chestnuts, which were collected in places very far from the town centre, along steep and steep paths.
