Wonderful swans and fairy-tale landscape for a walk among fresh water springs with a small park attached, children’s games, picnic tables and benches

Guaranteed coolness in the height of summer, fish visible in the transparency of the water.
The Santa Susanna spring is a large pond of transparent water, immersed in a magnificent equipped green area.

The water, pure and cold, feeds a Trout farm with particularly delicious meat and drives an Old Mill for the production of the famous Santa Susanna flour built in the VIII century by Pepin the Short, father of Charlemagne.

A touch of magic
Every year, during the Christmas holidays, the largest underwater nativity scene in Europe is set up on the bottom of the springs with large fiberglass statues. Easily admired during the day due to the transparency of the waters and at night due to the lighting of the lighthouses.

Walking along the pedestrian paths you can appreciatethe Botanical park, the Votive Edicule dedicated to Santa Susanna Martire in the times of Emperor Diocletian and, inside the its borders, several archaeological sitesthat testify to human presence since the Bronze Age. Of particular interest are the remains of ancient settlements and traces of old Roman roads.
