One of the largest and most important Botanical Gardens in Europe. It houses valuable collections such as bamboo, palms, centuries-old trees, tropical, carnivorous, medicinal, and aquatic plants.

The Botanical Garden of Rome, one of the largest in Italy, is famous for collections such as the Japanese Garden (Hanami in spring with the cherry blossoms), the Bamboo Grove, the Rhododendron Garden, the Cactus Trail, and the Historic Palms area.
Among the main collections, the monumental centuries-old trees stand out, such as oriental plane trees, cork oaks, Turkey oaks, downy oaks, Himalayan cedars, and over 300 over-century-old specimens belonging to over 130 species.

The bamboo collection is among the richest in Europe.
Also noteworthy is the collection of gymnosperms such as sequoias, conifers, pines, firs, larches, cedars of Lebanon, cypresses and junipers.
In the lower part are: a herb garden and a herb garden; palm trees; aquatic plants; greenhouses and succulent collections; bamboo groves; and a fern valley.
In the upper part of the hill, the original tree structure has been preserved, leaving it as a Mediterranean evergreen forest.

– The Greenhouses
Among the most fascinating are the orchid greenhouse, with around 400 species, from the common Cattleya to the moth orchid and the very strange vanda, a Southeast Asian orchid with an extremely long stem. The Corsini greenhouse, dating back to the 19th century, houses countless examples of these succulent plants.

– Garden of Aromas
Whose species are recognizable by their tactile or olfactory characteristics. All plants are accompanied by Braille labels for the visually impaired.
– Japanese Garden
With its cherry trees, camellias, and magnolias, it features evocative water features, small waterfalls, and two enchanting ponds.

– Mediterranean Garden
With species typical of the Mediterranean scrub; the Giardino dei Semplici (Simple Garden) features medicinal plants, also known as officinal; and the Valletta delle Felci (Fern Valley) features a collection of herbaceous ferns.
– Aquatic Plants
A perfect setting with a pond, stream, and several pools.

– The Rose Garden
in all its splendor during the flowering month of May, features approximately 60 species illustrating the evolution of the Rosa genus over the last 2,000 years of human history.
– Palm collection
significant in number of specimens and the presence of rare species.

– Tropical Greenhouse
With strictly controlled temperature and humidity, it is organized into themed areas that demonstrate the great biodiversity of tropical forests.
In spring, in April, you can’t miss Hanami, the wonderful cherry blossoms in the Japanese garden.
To make the experience even more engaging, the Botanical Garden also organizes free guided tours and events related to Japanese culture.
In summer, you can witness the wonderful late-summer blooms, such as those in the Rhododendron Garden.

Autumn, on the other hand, is the period of foliage: the leaves of the numerous maple species take on variegated shades of color, ranging from yellow to orange to red.
The Botanical Garden is equipped for disabled visitors with a dedicated path and two battery-powered mobile vehicles that allow them to also use the hillside routes.
The Botanical Garden also houses the Butterfly Eden House, with separate entrance and ticket.
