A blend of architectural styles including Art Nouveau, Baroque, Neoclassical, and Medieval. An extraordinary example of eclectic and visionary architecture in the heart of Rome.

The Quartiere Coppedè in Rome is not a neighborhood in the administrative sense, but a unique architectural complex located in the Trieste neighborhood, between Via Salaria and Via Nomentana.
It was designed by Florentine architect Gino Coppedè between 1915 and 1927 and is named after him.
It is a complex of approximately 26 buildings and 17 villas, characterized by an eclectic style that blends elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and influences from Greek, Gothic, Baroque, medieval, and even Babylonian art, as in the famous Palazzo del Ragno.

The neighborhood is famous for its monumental entrance consisting of a decorated “arch” connecting the two Ambassadors’ Palaces, from which hangs a large wrought-iron chandelier.
The heart of the neighborhood is Piazza Mincio, dominated by the Fontana delle Rane, one of the neighborhood’s most famous attractions, adorned with 12 stylized frogs and shells, a homage to Bernini’s Turtle Fountain. The Beatles used it for a memorable bath in 1965.

Among the most iconic buildings:
the Palazzo del Ragno, with a mosaic of a giant spider above the entrance door
the Villino delle Fate, facades painted with allegorical figures (Dante, Petrarca, “Fiorenza”), mosaics with the names of the Muses (Mneme, Melete, Aede)

The Great Entrance Arch (Ambassadors’ Palaces)
The monumental entrance on Via Tagliamento is a huge, decorated arch with a suspended wrought-iron chandelier and statues, gargoyles, frescoes, and symbolic details.

Every architectural detail is rich in symbolism that recalls classical mythology, Italian art history, and esoteric-Masonic visions, making the visit almost a cultural and symbolic journey through time.
The area was created with the intention of housing the upper middle class and several embassies; originally, Gino Coppedè himself lived here.
