Three days of celebration, the village invaded by Songs, popular Dances, Folk concerts, fraschette and Tastings to celebrate the famous Sgurgolana Regina grape
Over the years, the Grape Festival has grown to increasingly represent an important social moment both for the small town of Sgurgola and for the neighboring municipalities.
Dinner of the Thousand (paid with reservation)
The streets of the historic center will be transformed into a stage from times gone by, with a long table that will host hundreds of diners.
While tasting the typical dishes of Ciociaria cuisine, participants will be immersed in a unique atmosphere, within the walls of this ancient village which centuries ago was a Lombard guard outpost.
Historical reenactment
The evening will be animated by an evocative historical re-enactment: a wedding between nobles from the 1300s will transport everyone to the heart of the Middle Ages, bringing to life the customs and traditions of that era.
Following, a colorful costume procession, with the participation of various groups from different cultural backgrounds, will brighten the evening
Allegorical Floats
Traditional parade of allegorical floats in the early afternoon during which you can watch the representation of skits in dialect which depict the traditions of ancient rural life.
The Flag-Wavers will enchant the audience with their spectacular acrobatics.
Singing, dancing, tasting of food and wine products and local excellences.
Everyone feels the connection with traditions and dresses in typical Ciociaria clothes, dines in the characteristic “Fraschette” old cellars in the center with the music of the passatelli.
Anyone is welcome and is invited to drink at the infamous cupella, thus savoring the history of a country full of beauty and traditions.
The festival is not only a moment of folklore, tradition, entertainment, tourism and associations, but also testimony to the commitment and sacrifice of the population who over the years have wanted to tell the beauty of their land!
