Over 180 paintings, mainly Venetian and Veneto, dating from the 14th to the 19th century available to the public in an elegant 17th-century palace.

The MarteS – Sorlini Art Museum is an extraordinary private collection, the result of more than fifty years of research and passion by the Brescia collector Luciano Sorlini (1925-2015), which includes representative works of Venetian and Venetian painting from the 14th to the 19th century century.

The Museum is housed in an elegant 16th-century building and presents an exhibition path that organizes the works into thematic groups, distributed in 14 rooms.

This allows not only to admire the paintings, but also to understand the evolution of the collection and the changes in Luciano Sorlini’s taste over the years.

In addition to the big names – Tiepolo, Ricci, Guardi, Canaletto, Rosalba Carriera– the lesser-known painters are represented, but fundamental for the overall understanding of the figurative arts of the Serenissima: Pittoni, Diziani, Molinari, Bellucci, Fontebasso and many others.
