It is not a memorial to the figure of Paul VI nor a gallery of sacred art, but a collection of works resulting from the lively and human relationship that Giovanni Battista Montini (Pope Paul VI) maintained throughout his life with the artists of his time.

The Paolo VI Collection – contemporary art of Concesio – the only museum in the world born from the collection of a twentieth-century Pope.

It preserves and exhibits the heritage of over 7000 works of art of the twentieth century attributable to Pope Paul VI, signed by artists such as Matisse, Chagall, Picasso, Dalí, Magritte, Rouault, Severini, de Chirico, Morandi, Fontana, Manzù, Hartung and many other absolute protagonists in the national and international scene.
