Grumello Castle is a residence of medieval origin, at the center of a wine estate in the heart of Valcalepio, a hilly area between Bergamo and Lake Iseo.
The Tower is the first thing you see. Just follow it to discover something unexpected, a perched village, a cellar, a team that works to bring the wines of Grumello del Monte to life.
Built as a Military Fortress and place of control due to its strategic position. With its majestic watchtower throughout the Middle Ages it served as an observatory, defense and shelter for the town’s population, who could find refuge there during clashes and wars.
The strategic position of the castle aroused the interest of the leader Bartolomeo Colleoni, so much so that it became his residence.
Tenuta Castello di Grumello is located in the heart of the village of Grumello del Monte, among vineyards and historic houses. In addition to visits, it is possible to organize weddings, private and corporate events.
Numerous rooms can be visited, the suggestive Watchtower and the disturbing Underground where two of the company’s cellars are set up, a museum , and the old Prison.
A few hours, a whole day, between rooms, in the open air, on foot or by bike. There are many ways to experience the estate and its wines.

Trekking in the vineyard
Two passions together, one for walking and one for the world of wine.
A long but comfortable walk in the open air to discover Grumello del Monte and its wine-growing vocation.
We will walk along the terraces and rows, discover the peculiarities of the different vineyards, but also the botanical and historical characteristics of the place, passing farmhouses, chapels and monuments.
Wine&Bike at the Castle
A circular route that starts from the Castle and returns to the estate at sunset for an aperitif with 3 of our wines. The tasting is preceded by a visit to the residence and the cellar.
Accompanied by an authorized guide, we will spend 4 hours together discovering, on two wheels, Valcalepio, its hills, vineyards and woods, traveling along the cycle paths of Val Brembana and the surrounding areas.
Aperitif in the garden
Chat and wine in the shade of the horse chestnut trees. The fascinating garden that welcomes visitors to the residence is the perfect place to enjoy the coolness of the horse chestnut trees and 2 glasses of our labels, comfortably seated in an armchair.
