Free beaches in Ranco on Lake Maggiore. The Caravalle Beach and the Canottieri Beach with Shipwrecks on the bottom. A perfect destination for families with children to visit or plan a trip on the lake.

Caravalle Beach
Named after the area, the valley that descends from the woods to the lake is called “Valun di Caravall”.

A free beach with no services, about 150 meters long, partly gravel and sand and partly grass, very clean and quickly deep water, a rocky seabed, and a lifeguard is present in the summer months.

The beach has numerous trees, making it ideal for those who love spending entire days on the lake, sheltering in the shade during the hottest hours.
It is located on Via Lungolago, 800 meters from the marina. Parking is free, right along the road.

Canottieri Beach
Small, quiet beach with a nice lawn and very clean water, thanks to the pebble seabed and the presence of springs.

It is particularly popular with divers as there are many wrecks on the seabed, including the “Tinca” boat used by Piero Chiara in his famous film “The Bishop’s Room.”
It is located on Via Lungolago, 400 meters from the marina.
