A house Museum that celebrates the life and works of the composer, offering visitors a journey through his career and his contribution to music.

The Casa Rossini in Pesaro is the birthplace of the famous composer Gioachino Rossini, located in via Rossini 34, on the ancient “Via del Duomo”.
Rossini was born here on February 29, 1792 and spent the first years of his life in this house, which still preserves original elements such as the arched shutters of the windows, the chimneys blackened by smoke and parts of an old kitchen.
The Museum houses a collection of Manuscripts, Letters, Portraits, Musical instruments and other personal objects of Rossini.

The exhibitions are organized in such a way as to tell the story of the composer’s life, from his origins in Pesaro to his international success.
Among the most significant elements of the museum are the autograph scores of some of his most famous operas, such as “The Barber of Seville” and “La Cenerentola”.
