An Atelier in the Historic Center and an Open Air Museum. Atmosphere of peace and meditation, ideal for those seeking an Artistic Experience outside the traditional circuits and in close contact with nature.

Museo Pietraia dei Poeti
Open Air Contemporary Art Museum, immersed in an uncontaminated natural landscape on the hill of San Benedetto del Tronto.

An emotional and multisensory artistic journey, where the works integrate with the surrounding natural environment, creating an atmosphere of meditation and deep reflection.

Founded and curated by the sculptor Marcello Sgattoni, the museum exhibits monumental sculptures made with poor and natural materials such as stone, wood and glass, which integrate perfectly with the surrounding environment.
The sculptures are exhibited outdoors, immersed in the natural landscape of the hill, and reflect the poetics of the artist, who defines his art as “made of pain and suffering, without which nothing would be in the world”

Each work tells a story, often linked to the life and poetics of the artist, and the visit can become even more engaging thanks to the meeting with Sgattoni himself, who loves to tell anecdotes and reflections.

Free admission. Accessible also to people with disabilities and suitable for those seeking a break of tranquility and inspiration, although less recommended for small children who might get bored.
The panoramic position also offers an evocative view

The works are characterized by a strong connection with nature and the use of poor materials such as stone, wood and terracotta.
Among the most important and representative are: Cultivating love, Time flies, Bitter source, Aggression

The itinerary is also accessible to the blind or visually impaired thanks to rope or wooden guides on the ground and descriptions in Braille or Mp3.
House of the Wind Museum
In the historic center of San Benedetto del Tronto there is a building restored by Sgattoni himself, which houses those works that could not withstand the elements.

Evocative and exciting is the fact that from the perpetually wide open blue windows some curious sculptures “look out” to look at the city, which appear animated and seem to be waiting for the arrival of some visitor.

In the House of the Wind, one goes from works such as “le Zolle” conceived in the 70s, to sculptures created in 2004 dedicated to the navy of San Benedetto, to those with a sacred tremor such as the sculpture of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
