A unique Historical Reenactment featuring Sports, period Costumes and traditional Cuisine. A blast from the past with the “Game of Ball with Bracelet.”
A Stage of Colors, Flavors and Traditions where this ancient sport is experienced as a true (but friendly) rivalry.

The Disfida del Bracciale (Bracelet Challenge) is one of the most fascinating and unique historical reenactments in the Marche region, held annually in Treia (province of Macerata) during the entire week preceding the first Sunday of August.
The Disfida becomes a dive into the 19th century: the bright colors of the neighborhoods (blue, green, yellow, purple), the aromas of traditional cuisine, and the authentic passion of the people of Treia.

A true Renaissance sporting challenge at the Ball and Bracelet Game, an ancient sport (born in the 16th century, similar to a primordial version of tennis or tambourine, but with a wooden bracelet on the wrist to hit a leather ball, pitting the four districts (contrade) of the town against each other.

An event that combines competitive sport, folklore and costumes period, neighborhood taverns and great popular participation.
The players wear 19th-century white uniforms, the field is clay (the open-air “Sferisterio”), and the matches are spectacular: powerful throws, long shots and complex tactics.

The Challenge lasts about a week, culminating with the decisive matches (semifinals and senior final) on the first Sunday in August (or the closest weekend), and typically takes place in late July or early August.
