The secluded location and intimate atmosphere of the oratory make it an ideal place for those seeking a more intimate visit experience compared to the great monuments of Urbino

The building is known for its finely carved entrance portal and for its interior which houses works of art of great value
The Oratory of Death of Urbino is a small treasure chest of art.
It opens onto a simple environment, a single hall with a beautiful barrel ceiling, where the elegance and majesty of the altarpiece depicting the Crucifixion with mourners and the Magdalene painted by Federico Barocci between 1597 and 1603 stands out, inserted in a precious frame designed by Barocci himself then carved and gilded by the Urbino natives Francesco Amorosi and Valerio Armellino.

There are other masterpieces preserved in the Oratory of Death, such as the large tempera canvas with the Glory of Saint Philip Neri, a work by Girolamo Cialdieri, as well as works by Giorgio Picchi.
