How to reach Isola Bella
Sailing on Lake Maggiore is the only way to take a complete tour of the Borromean Islands and not miss even a detail of the natural beauty and artistic heritage preserved by the Borromean Gulf.

The island is easily accessible by public transport or by motorboats, boats and ferries at acceptable prices.

The center is full of delightful alleys with craft shops, restaurants, kiosks and stalls.

There is an entrance fee only to access Palazzo Borromeo and the Gardens.

Ten terraces that explode with a different color with each flowering
The Teatro Massimo is the most important monument in the Isola Bella garden. Statues, Obelisks and Fountains integrate perfectly with the vegetation of the ten scenic terraces, on top of which stands the statue of the Unicorn, heraldic symbol of the Borromeo family.

All around the Theatre, a riot of Flowers and rare plants: the centuries-old Camphor, the Gunnera manicata – whose leaves can reach 2 meters in diameter, the very fragrant Olea Fragrans, the very rare Halesia Diptera with its flowers that look like snowflakes, the star anise, the Mexican pine.

The Parterre of the Azaleas enchants during flowering and the Garden of Love is a joy for the eyes, composed of box hedges that create a green embroidery visible from the top of the terraces.

Camellias, espaliers of roses in May, oleanders in June, and citrus fruits and paniculate hydrangeas in midsummer light up the Italian garden of Isola Bella, where white peacocks live freely.
