A place of great interest for those who want to learn more about the history and culture of the Waldensians, offering a unique experience rich in historical and ethnographic content

The Waldensian Museum of Torre Pellice is an important cultural institution that tells the history and culture of the Waldensians in Piedmont. It is located in the premises of the former Waldensian boarding school and is managed by the Fondazione Centro Culturale Valdese.

The Waldensians are Christians who belong to the family of Protestant or Evangelical churches. They take their name from a rich citizen of Lyon, Valdo, who around 1174 stripped himself of his possessions and began to preach the Gospel.
From his preaching a movement was born that, although excommunicated by the church of Rome, spread throughout Europe.

The museum is divided into two main sections: a historical one and an ethnographic one.
The historical section traces the origins and events of the Waldensians, while the ethnographic section offers an immersion in the daily life and traditions of the Waldensian community

Includes collections of Weapons, Flags, Standards, Historical Relics and Ethnographic Objects.
Among the most significant pieces are the flags and banners, which represent an important core of the Waldensian cultural heritage
