Voted the most beautiful public park in Italy, La Reggia di Venaria hosts some of the most refined expressions of universal Baroque. Absolute masterpieces of Architecture, Art and Landscape blend with contemporaneity in a perfect combination of beauty and majesty. The large vegetable garden, family area and children’s games.

The visit itinerary includes the seventeenth-century spaces with the Sala di Diana, the elegance of the Galleria Grande whose visit is accompanied by the music of the composer Brian Eno, the solemnity of the Chapel of Sant’Uberto, with the eighteenth-century works of Filippo Juvarra, and the evocative production on court life by Peter Greenaway. A path almost 2,000 meters long, between the basement and the main floor.

The Venaria Reale, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, represents the magnificence of the Savoy royal court between the 17th and 18th centuries. In the mid-seventeenth century, Carlo Emanuele II of Savoy wanted to build a residence “for pleasure and hunting” and commissioned the project to the architect Amedeo di Castellamonte, who designed a city village, a regal palace and gardens.

The Central Allea, the water canal that crosses the Lower Park, connects the reborn Fountain of Hercules, thanks to recent restoration works, with the Temple of Diana . The Potager Royal joins the allea over an extension of 10 hectares in which orchards alternate with flowers and vegetables. The Garden of Fluid Sculptures by Giuseppe Penone completes the garden of the Lower Park by relating the wall and the seventeenth-century caves through a reading of the contemporary garden.
In the upper park there is the flower garden, the rose garden with large “cushions” of re-blooming roses and the Gran Parterre, the most evocative space of the eighteenth-century garden which connects the important architecture of Filippo Juvarra such as the Great Gallery, the Citroniera and the Stable .
A masterpiece of eighteenth-century architecture, the Great Gallery is one of the symbolic places of the Royal Palace of Venaria

Diana’s Room

The Bucintoro of Savoy
The Scuderia Grande currently houses the Regia Scuderia, an installation that includes the Bucintoro dei Savoia and some gala carriages and sedan chairs.

Water Theater of the Deer Fountain
One of the most evocative fountains in the world: over one hundred jets of water that dance in rhythm with the music. At specific times, it comes alive with the “dances” of its 100 water jets up to about 10 meters high, following the rhythm of ancient and contemporary music: on Saturday and Sunday evenings it becomes a real and its own show with a vast repertoire of songs and the addition of light projections in the water. It is the ideal sight to admire at the end of the visit, before saying goodbye to the Venaria.

Fountain of Hercules
The complex of the Fountain of Hercules Colossus was the place of celebrations: an extraordinary “baroque scenographic machine”, the result of the dialogue between nature and architecture
Fluid Sculpture Garden
Fourteen works, conceived as a sensorial place, by the contemporary artist Giuseppe Penone

The Potager Royal of the Gardens
The large Garden of the Royal Palace enjoys the seasons of greenery: in spring the apple, pear, plum and cherry trees cheer up the heart with their lively blooms; in June dahlias, zinnias, nerines, gladioli flower and aubergines, tomatoes and green beans are ripe; in midsummer the garden is flooded with the scents of lavender, rosemary and basil; and in autumn it is colored with the orange of pumpkins.
