The Selvaggio Blu is aroute in the territory of the municipality of Baunei, in Sardinia. It was created in 1987 by Mario Verin (photographer and mountaineer).
Dangerous and spectacular Sardinian path overlooking the sea to be done on foot at least once in your life

The Selvaggio Blu takes the form of five days (it is also possible to choose the more demanding variant of four days) of challenging trekking in the heart of Ogliastra, along a path that is lost in space and time with a history all its own…through an impenetrable coastal area that hides wonderful mountainous landscapes overlooking a sea that couldn’t be more splendid.

About forty kilometers on the east coast of Sardinia to try an incredible experience: one of the most fascinating and challenging treks in the world.

It is the blue Wild that is lost among caves, rivers, cliffs and coves framed by the Mediterranean scrub.

A route that is certainly not for everyone which intertwines between centuries-old holm oak woods, arches, the sea, old sheepfolds and views along ancient paths of charcoal burners and shepherds. There are overhangs between the rocks that make the Selvaggio blu one of the most challenging treks in the world.
WILD BLUE, THE AUTHENTIC ONE!
We walk the original path, in all its difficulty and beauty
Facing the Wild Blue is an experience that leaves a deep imprint on the soul of anyone who ventures into this extraordinary adventure.

Five days immersed among steep rocks, crystal clear sea and pristine forests, traveling along the peaks of the cliffs and narrow canyons carved by ancient rivers.
Sardinia, in all its beauty and rawness, reveals itself in an unprecedented way.

The Selvaggio Blu is not simply a trek, but an authentic mountain experience.
The route follows the ancient charcoal burners’ mule tracks and the intricate passages used by shepherds who inhabited these mountains for millennia.

Through an intricate network of paths and off-piste diversions, the itineraries sometimes end along inaccessible cliffs or on the edges of cliffs.
To overcome these challenges, it is essential to have a deep knowledge of the area and consolidated mountain experience. Our guides, experts in the Selvaggio Blu down to the smallest details, will lead you safely along the original itinerary, equipping the critical passages and managing the abseiling.

ALSO
Coastereing
Coasteering is the union of various activities to be practiced along the most beautiful and impervious cliffs of Sardinia.
The route winds along a cliff, therefore walking on the rocks, close to the sea.

We know well how the cliff rocks are unstable and sometimes very sharp. Balance and elasticity are therefore fundamental in this phase.

Coaster -lines); uses notions of climbing, necessary to go beyond or around large blocks; sometimes, inside caves or crawling in tunnels dug by the water one has the impression of practicing speleology, and finally a bit of relax with snorkeling.
Climbing
Our courses take place at the best equipped crags in all of Sardinia, from Cala Gonone to Ulassai, and from Masua to Samugheo. Upon agreement with the group, the courses can also include trips to Monteleone Rocca Doria, Punta Pilocca, Domusnovas, Cagliari and any other crag suitable for the presence of groups of beginners.

All equipment (harnesses, helmets, ropes, etc.) is provided by Climbing Sardinia, with the sole exception of climbing shoes.
Canyoning
For those who love combining nature and adventure, descending one of the many Sardinian canyons is a must.

Far from crowded beaches and scorching heat, our canyoning tours will take us to discover a truly unusual side of Sardinia. We will immerse ourselves in wonderful scenery, between rope descents and jumps into deep pools of emerald waters, populated by dragonflies of various colors and flowering oleanders.
Vie Ferrate
The Via Ferratas are located in mostly remote places.

To reach the starting point, walking excursions are necessary which vary from 15 minutes for the Ferrata della Regina up to 2 hours for the Ferrata di Plumare.
Trekking
From the classic Cala Goloritzè (but for a longer and more panoramic itinerary) to the epic Selvaggio Blu, each of these routes leaves a mark in the soul of those who follow them.

From the deepest canyons to the densest forests, passing through plateaus and cliffs overlooking the sea, the mountains of Sardinia are as hostile to man as they are a perfect refuge for eagles, mouflons, falcons and many other animals.
