Every Sunday in October you can taste typical products while walking among the scents of the Nebrodi, popular music and street artists

Ottobrando, an event dedicated to typical products and folklore in the Messina municipality.

An annual event that celebrates the Sicilian culinary tradition through a series of festivals dedicated to typical local products.

The Festivals

First Sunday of October, Vasola Festival in Crucchittu
Second Sunday of October, Nebrodi Black Pig Festival
Third Sunday, Mushroom Festival
Fourth Sunday, Provola Festival

During the days of Ottobrando in Floresta in the numerous stands set up in the streets of the town, you can taste the dishes of the day, including what is considered the flagship product of the highest village in the Nebrodi, the famous provola, one of the many Slow Food products on the island or the “vasola a crucchittu” (hook beans) that are grown in this area.

Guests during Ottobrando di Floresta will be entertained with the stands of the Market Exhibition, Conferences, Street Artists, Entertainment and Music.

Floresta is not just gastronomy, but also a place rich in history and natural beauty.

Immersed in the heart of the Nebrodi, the village offers breathtaking panoramic views and paths immersed in nature, perfect for hiking lovers.
