The Monterossani bread and flavors festival in Monterosso Almo takes place every year in August and celebrates the culinary traditions of the village.
Starting in the afternoon, there will be various food and wine stands in the square; the absolute protagonist is the traditional homemade Monterossano bread, famous throughout the province of Ragusa for its genuine flavor and unmistakable fragrance.
On the occasion of the festival, various stands are set up in the main square of the village, Piazza San Giovanni where it is possible to taste homemade bread, seasoned with oil, oregano, caciocavallo and classic “capuliato”, i.e. chopped dried tomato, accompanied by a good glass of red wine from the local hills.
During the evening, folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows are organised.
