is located in the Church of Sant’Angelo and hosts Works of Sacred Art from Churches and Monasteries of Castiglion Fiorentino and its territory.

Works such as the large Cross painted in tempera on wood from the 13th century, the Stigmata of Saint Francis by Bartolomeo della Gatta, and the Madonna and Child by Taddeo Gaddi

The exhibition is divided into five rooms dedicated to various themes relating to the ancient Etruscan center and the surrounding settlements, ranging from the Iron Age to the late ancient period (3rd-6th century AD) and beyond.

Of considerable importance are the Brolio and Montecchio deposits, the remains of the roof of the Etruscan Sanctuary found in the Cassero area and the evidence from the Etruscan site of Brolio Melmone, a production and trade center along the Clanis (the ancient Chiana river).
The Medieval section completes the historical-archaeological itinerary of the town. The exhibition hall presents a wide range of materials dating back to the 9th century, including precious archaic and Renaissance majolica.
The exhibition is characterized by the modern IT and educational system and by the numerous multimedia supports.
– Underground Path
It allows you to explore the underground archaeological layers of the city, offering a unique perspective on its historical evolution from the 8th century BC to the medieval era.
a Protohistoric hut village (8th-7th century BC), an Etruscan dwelling and the remains of an Etruscan sanctuary, oriented North-South, with a rectangular plan (17 m x 22 m).

The polychrome materials pertaining to the decorative apparatus of the temple roof (reconstructed in the Museum), date back to the mid-4th century BC.
The remains of two medieval towers are also visible: of one, probably intended exclusively for defensive use, part of the base and the beginning of the elevation remain, while the other tower, founded on the rock and built with squared stones of considerable size, has very ancient origins.
– Torre del Cassero
the Casserum parvo, or the Casseretto, that is, a smaller fortress inside the larger fortress of the Cassero. A fourteenth-century structure that is part of the Cassero Area, a historical complex that also includes the Piazzale.
Famous for having been used by Leonardo da Vinci as an observation point for the drafting of his maps.
