A House-Museum located in the hamlet of Celle dei Puccini, in the municipality of Pescaglia, a place closely linked to the Puccini family, since it was the summer and childhood residence of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini
The Museum is structured in seven rooms distributed over two floors, inside an ancient noble house of the 16th century. Each room offers a different experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the life and work of Puccini.
The museum collection includes:
A Piano on which Puccini composed part of his opera Madama Butterfly.
Numerous Musical Manuscripts autographed from Puccini’s operas.
Letters, Personal Documents and Photographs that tell the life of the composer.
The Favorite Armchair on which Puccini loved to rest.
Gramophone donated by Thomas Alva Edison: A unique object that testifies to Edison’s interest in Puccini’s work.
The Dress worn by Giacomo Puccini at his baptism.
The Family Tree that illustrates the history of the Puccini family.
Family heirlooms: Including a sewing machine used by the women of the house.
Bedroom: Furnished with original furniture from Puccini’s birthplace in Lucca, including the double bed in which Giacomo was born
