Every year the evocative setting of the ancient walls of the Malmantile Castle is populated with jugglers, minstrels, acrobats, knights, tradesmen and, in this small Tuscan village, an evocative and well-known Medieval Festival comes to life, thanks to the The commitment of the many volunteers of the local Mercy Section who have taken care of its organization and implementation since 1993.

It was precisely on a warm summer evening of that year that a group of boys, between 16 and 24 years old, inspired by the spectacle offered by Brunelleschi’s walls which frame the town of Malmantile , they thought – partly as a bet and partly for fun – of organizing an event capable of recreating the life of the medieval village.

Those kids volunteered at the local Mercy Section and, immediately, imagined allocating the proceeds of the party to strengthening the services offered to citizens.

Working in harmony, strong in that unity that can only be found in small towns, the young people managed to be ready for the established dates: 21 and 22 May 1994.
Those days changed the history of Malmantile forever and meant that this small hamlet became known far beyond the borders of Tuscany.
