In Vinci, Leonardo’s birthplace, the oldest collection of machines dedicated to Leonardo’s work as an engineer and scientist
The Museo Leonardiano recounts the life and works of the Genius, showcasing the true Leonardo.

It is one of the most important museums dedicated to the study and dissemination of the technical and scientific work of the Renaissance genius.
It is located in the historic center and is divided into two main locations:
– the Palazzina Uzielli in Piazza dei Conti Guidi, which houses sections on Anatomy, Construction, Mechanics, and Clocks
– the Castello dei Conti Guidi in Piazza della Libertà, with sections dedicated to Flight, War Machines, and Water.

It exhibits over 60 life-size, working models of Leonardo’s inventions, accompanied by interactive digital animations:
Flying machines, War devices, Hydraulic mechanisms, Clocks, Optical instruments, and Geometric solids

A thematic itinerary that allows you to explore Leonardo da Vinci’s inventions and scientific studies through Life-size working models and multimedia support.
The entire exhibit integrates digital animations, touch-screen panels, and videos that illustrate how the machines work, making the experience suitable for all ages and accessible to those with disabilities.

Leonardo’s Birthplace
In Anchiano (about 3 km from Vinci), divided between the actual Birthplace, divided into three different rooms and the adjacent Farmhouse, the exhibition invites you to discover the places and settings that first inspired Leonardo’s work.

Audio-visual narration to bring Leonardo and his most intimate and personal world, which until now has remained in the shadows, to life.

Leonardo Touch presents Da Vinci’s paintings and graphics, following various thematic research paths and allowing you to interact with the drawings and paintings to discover every detail.

At the entrance to the town, there is a modern sculpture inspired by Leonardo’s horse.
