A spectacular waterfall that flows directly from the rock, creating a pool of water with colors ranging from blue to azure. Perfect for nature lovers seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating trekking experience.

The Gorg d’Abiss Waterfall (meaning “vortex of the abyss” in local dialect) is located in the Ledro Valley, not far from Lake Garda. At 72 meters high, it’s the second highest waterfall in Trentino, and over the centuries it has carved out the rock to form this fascinating waterfall.

The route to reach it is easy, about 1.5 km long with an elevation gain of about 120 meters, suitable for everyone and ideal for families.

Nearby are points of interest such as the Croina Roman Bridge and the little church of San Giorgio, which offer further inspiration for walks and panoramic visits in this beautiful natural area.

To reach it, simply walk; leave your car in Tiarno di Sotto, on Via Všen, and you’ll find signs for Gorg d’Abiss. It’s very easy and suitable for children too.

The trail starts in Tiarno di Sotto, near the church of San Bartolomeo, where you can park. The route continues past the Mulino dei Bugatini, a historic mill, and then enters a forest along the Massangla stream until reaching the waterfall.
The trail is well-marked and pleasant, with small waterfalls along the way. The round-trip visit lasts about 40 minutes.

Along the trail, you can admire several small waterfalls, and after a 15-20 minute walk, you’ll find the waterfall at the end of a deep canyon.
The trail to the waterfall is very simple and suitable for children.
