Interactive installations, Historical and Modern Photographs. A top attraction in the Dolomites for photography enthusiasts or those seeking a cultural alternative to skiing/trekking.

The LUMEN Museum (or LUMEN – Museum of Mountain Photography) is a unique museum in the world dedicated to mountain photography.

It is located in Alto Adige/Südtirol, on the summit of Plan de Corones (Kronplatz), at approximately 2,275 meters above sea level in the Dolomites.
It tells the story of mountain photography from its origins (late 19th century) to the digital age, with an emphasis on mountaineering, exploration, nature, and mountain culture. It includes works by Italian and international photographers.

It extends over four floors, covering approximately 1,800 m², with interactive installations, historical artifacts (old cameras, lenses, rare artifacts), immersive rooms (such as the “Room of Mirrors” with mirrors and poetic reflections on the mountain, or “Pixel Storm” with light effects).
