The Museum of Science and Archaeology of Rovereto is a cultural and scientific center capable of telling the local and global natural and archaeological history with modern tools, immersive experiences and a strong connection with the community
It stands out for its interdisciplinary and interactive approach, with a modern layout that involves visitors of all ages through permanent exhibitions, temporary exhibitions, workshops and educational activities.
The Museum covers a wide spectrum of disciplines:
Archaeology, Zoology, Botany, Astronomy, Earth Sciences (geology, mineralogy, paleontology), Robotics

Ground floor
Botany: Insights into the flora of Trentino and Monte Baldo, with a focus on current issues such as climate change and dendrochronology (study of tree rings).
Mineralogy: Exploration of the geo-diversity of Trentino, with a rich collection of minerals and an immersive video on the rock cycle.

Paleontology: Spectacular fossils, including large ammonites, trilobites, remains of Jurassic crocodile, dinosaur tracks from Lavini di Marco, the skeleton of the Cave Bear and a fossil fish from the Bolca site.

Planetarium: Immersive installation that allows a journey into the Universe, from astronomical observation to space exploration, with full dome digital shows.

Second floor
Zoology: Ornithological collections among the most important at regional level, as well as local mammals and exotic species.
Archaeology: Finds from the Neolithic to the Lombard period, with particular attention to the findings of the Roman Villa of Isera and the castrum of the Island of Sant’Andrea in Loppio.

A room is dedicated to the Roveretan archaeologist Paolo Orsi and his collection of objects from Magna Graecia, including rare pieces such as the owl-shaped Askos from the 7th century BC.
Activities and services
Robotics Labs
The museum hosts the first LEGO® Education Innovation Studio in Italy, where children and young people can approach robotics in a practical and fun way.

Education and dissemination
Numerous activities for schools and families, workshops, guided tours, shows at the planetarium and initiatives in the area, such as excursions in the footsteps of dinosaurs and visits to the botanical garden.
Accessibility
The museum is accessible to disabled people and designed to involve even the youngest audiences.
