The MITAG, Italian Historical War Museum is located in the Rovereto Castle, the visit itinerary tells the experience of men and women at war between the nineteenth century and the Second World War.
It is divided into five sections, placed one after the other with Weapons, Uniforms, Artillery, Military vehicles, Bombs and bullets, Flags, Badges and medals

Collection and Exhibition Path
A vast collection of Military uniforms, weapons and war equipment.
War materials: Objects of daily use in the Trenches, such as Gas Masks and tools for hand-to-hand combat.

One of the largest Collections of Artillery pieces from the First World War in Italy, with Cannons, Bombards and Ammunition from various nations (Italian, Austro-Hungarian, German, English, French and Belgian).
Documents and posters: Photographs, Flyers, Posters and Postcards illustrating war propaganda and daily life during the conflict.

– The Castle
In the tunnels and towers of the Rovereto Castle you can retrace its long history and the architectural evolution that led it to be a unique example of a Venetian fortress in Trentino
From its terraces you can enjoy a suggestive view of the city

The restored spaces of the Castle, with the numerous tunnels and gun ports tell the story of the era in which Rovereto was under the dominion of the Venetian Republic.
In the Marino and Malipiero towers are exhibited a small Nucleus of pre- and proto-historic weapons and the Modern Age Collections: the tools of the Blacksmith Gunsmith, Hunting Weapons, Armor, Bladed and Firearms.

A few steps from the Museum, in the air raid shelter built during the Second World War in Piazza Podestà, dozens of pieces of Italian, Austro-Hungarian, German, English artillery from the First World War are exhibited with a rich array of texts and images.
Includes Cannons, Bombards and Ammunition used by the Italian, Austro-Hungarian, German, English and French armies. The collection is accompanied by texts and images that illustrate the historical and technical context of the armaments
