Paths with walkways to admire a unique habitat home to water lilies, reeds, orchids, frogs, tadpoles, toads, amphibians, and aquatic birds such as coots and mallards.

Lake Ampola is one of the few remaining natural lakes in Trentino, located in the Ledro Valley, near the village of Tiarno di Sopra.

This small lake of glacial origin represents an important biotope (habitat) protected for its rich biodiversity.

It is home to numerous species of flora and fauna, particularly reeds, water lilies, orchids, frogs, reptiles, migratory birds, and many invertebrates.

The vegetation around the lake includes wetlands, mown meadows, and woods, ideal areas for waterfowl and amphibians.
A 1km circular trail with wooden walkways and information signs is available, ideal for observing biodiversity without disturbing the environment. The entire hike takes about 1.5 hours.

Outside, on the banks of the Palvico stream, a few steps from the lake, there is a picnic area equipped with tables, benches, and barbecues.
Free admission and the Visitor Center is open from May to September.

The best season to admire the blooming water lilies and orchids is spring. The area is ideal for quiet hikes, nature observation, and educational visits for children and families.
