The Magic of History comes to life through Conferences, Historical reenactments, Workshops and artisan Markets
The Medieval Festival in Gubbio is one of the most important cultural events in Italy dedicated to the Medieval period.

It is an annual event that transforms the splendid stone city into a grand historical stage, with Conferences, Shows, Markets, Music, Dance, Reenactments and Exhibitions.
The entire “stone city,” from the magnificent Piazza Grande to Federico da Montefeltro’s Ducal Palace, from the Monastery of San Francesco to the monumental complex of San Pietro, up to the four historic and ancient neighborhoods, becomes the living theater of the event.

Generally free admission for most events (some shows or conferences may require a token ticket or reservation)
It is an immersive and multidisciplinary festival, not just a reenactment but also a historical-cultural exploration:
Conferences and meetings with historians, experts and journalists.

Medieval Markets with artisans (weapons, armor, fabrics, herbs, period food).
Reenactments and Costume Parades (including references to the wolf of Gubbio and Franciscan life).

Thematic exhibitions and installations on the 13th century, Saint Francis, and the Umbrian Middle Ages.
