From the Harvest to the Party! A journey through Montefalco’s traditions with allegorical floats, music and authentic flavors!
Parades, dances and Sagrantino tastings will take you to the heart of Umbrian traditions.

The Grape Harvest Festival in Montefalco is a traditional Umbrian event that celebrates the grape harvest, particularly the renowned Sagrantino di Montefalco, with allegorical floats, tastings and Grape pressing.

A popular festival that recalls ancient peasant customs related to grape harvesting, pressing, and winemaking, with a joyful, folkloristic and community atmosphere.
The thrilling parade of floats, the songs, dances and authentic flavors of Montefalco will transport you back in time, among the vineyards and the pride of a centuries-old tradition.

The passionate residents of every hamlet along the “Ringhiera dell’Umbria” participate and give their all to create various allegorical floats inspired by traditional Montefalco customs, from the grape harvest period to the subsequent winemaking cycles. They showcase the joy and lifestyle typical of the rural world of many years ago, to celebrate their oldest traditional wine: His Majesty the Sagrantino Passito.
The parade takes place every year through the streets of Montefalco until all the floats, some pulled by animals and vintage tractors, gather in Piazza dal Comune where people eat and drink happily, accompanied by music and dancing.
