Donkeys are docile and affectionate, also suitable for small children, who can pet them and feed them. An excursion with donkeys is a way to get closer to nature, discover new places and have fun with the family.
Trekking with Donkeys
A multi-day itinerary. The animals proceed at a similar pace to ours, carrying part of the luggage.
A donkey in ideal conditions can easily carry about forty kg, the equivalent of a backpack of about ten kg for a human being. And this is the limit.
The animals do not carry people therefore. The only exception is children, who are lighter.
Trekking with Mules
Generally larger and more robust than donkeys, often even larger and more robust than horses, trekking with these animals is recommended for more challenging mountain routes, carrying everything with you, even tents. Highly recommended for groups
Do-It-Yourself Trekking
You can leave and travel alone, with family or friends, “borrowing” a pair of donkeys.
You can choose the period, the number of days and nights (minimum two) and between different proposed itineraries. After a day of introduction and training with the donkeys together with us.
Excursions on the back of a donkey or mule
For single days, shorter experiences, daily excursions are organized in which children, within weight limits, are allowed to ride on the back of a donkey. While for adults it should be noted that mules can be ridden like horses, of which they are sometimes even larger and heavier. In this case the excursions are very similar to equestrian activities.
