The magic of mid-August on the Lake, full of Tradition and Entertainment. A traditional Regatta, parades, Music and Fireworks.
The Palio delle Contrade di Garda is a traditional rowing Regatta on Lake Garda, held every August 15th in honor of the Madonna Assunta, the town’s patron saint.

A genuine folkloristic event, well attended by locals, with a festive atmosphere on the lakeside at sunset.
Nine local districts compete on boats called “Bisse” (typical flat fishermen’s gondolas), rowing standing Venetian style along a 400-meter course, repeated three times along the lakeside.
The winning contrada has the honor of keeping the wooden statue of the Madonna Assunta until the next edition.
The event begins with a Parade of Musicians and Flag-Wavers who perform along the lakeside to the delight of tourists and residents.

The representatives of the nine contrade, after parading through the city center carrying the statue of the Madonna in triumph, head to the Church of the Assumption for the blessing of the crews.
