GaudeaMUS!, the first museum in Italy entirely dedicated to goliardia universitari, collects a wide range of objects, documents, photographs and memorabilia that tell the story and traditions of goliardia in Padua and other Italian university cities.

The exhibition route winds through 12 thematic showcases that tell over eight centuries of goliardic history, traditions and customs.
The museum displays approximately 350 objects including Clothes, Feluccas, Cloaks, Papyrus, Documents, Musical Instruments, Photographs and Posters, offering a complete vision of student life in Padua.

A distinctive element is the attention to goliardic music, with original texts and instruments linked to the famous Polifonica Vitaliano Lenguazza.
The museum also highlights the history of the rules, internal hierarchies and goliardic ceremonies, such as the election of the Tribune, the baptism of the felucca and the collection of alms.

Several memorable stories of goliardic pranks are told, accompanied by photographs and press articles that document their liveliness and creativity.
Among the most famous pranks, typical of the Italian goliardic tradition, there are elaborate and ingenious pranks, often aimed at students or public figures, which mix irony, critical spirit and a sense of community.
