A fascinating journey through Archaeology, Local History, Ethnography, Natural Sciences and the memory of the Great War. In a modern and accessible structure, the transformation of the Lower Piave area and the centuries-old struggle of man against water.

The MUB – Museo della Bonifica offers a detailed overview of the methods and technologies used for land reclamation, as well as the social and economic implications of these processes.

The exhibits include historical documents, photographs, maps, agricultural tools and other artifacts that tell the story of land reclamation and peasant work and a specialized library of over 11,000 volumes.

The MUB also offers an interactive multimedia path and spaces accessible to all, representing a true ecomuseum that enhances the material and immaterial memory of the area.

The exhibition is organized into five sections:

– Ethnographic, dedicated to peasant life before the reclamation
– Reclamation, which illustrates the great hydraulic works and the fight against malaria
– Naturalistic, which reconstructs the original environment of the Lower Piave).
– Archaeological, with finds from ancient Heraclia and the Roman period
– Bellica, with testimonies of the First World War
